Al Stewart

Al Stewart (born 1945 in Scotland) is a British singer-songwriter who built his career during the British folk revival of the 1960s and 1970s. He writes folk-rock songs that weave in characters and events from history, a habit that runs through nearly all of his work. His 1976 single "Year of the Cat" brought him wide commercial recognition, and he has continued recording and touring for decades since.
