Angélique Kidjo

Angélique Kidjo is a singer from Benin, born in Ouidah in 1960, who has built a career weaving together West African rhythms, jazz, Afropop, Caribbean, and Latin styles across more than a dozen albums. She sings in multiple languages, including Fon, French, and English, and has won several Grammy Awards for her work. Beyond music, she has long served as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
