Billy Preston

Billy Preston was born in Houston, Texas in 1946 and grew up in Los Angeles, where he started playing piano at age three. He worked across gospel, soul, R&B, and funk as both a solo artist and a keyboard player who recorded and toured with artists like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, and Eric Clapton. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
