Blind Blake

Blind Blake, born Arthur Blake around 1896 in Jacksonville, Florida, was an American blues and ragtime guitarist and singer who recorded for Paramount Records between 1926 and 1932. He is widely regarded as a central figure in developing fingerpicked ragtime guitar, bringing a piano-like quality to the six-string that few players have matched. Little is known about his personal life, and much of his biography remains uncertain.
