Bobby Darin

Bobby Darin was a singer, songwriter, and actor from the Bronx, New York, who built his career across pop, rock and roll, jazz-inflected swing, and folk during the late 1950s and 1960s. He wrote and recorded hits like "Splish Splash" and "Dream Lover" before pivoting to a Rat Pack-style cabaret sound with "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea". He kept shifting styles throughout his career, moving toward folk and country material in the mid-1960s, and also appeared in films before his death in 1973.
