Cat Power is the stage name of Chan Marshall, a singer-songwriter born in Atlanta and raised across the American South. She records largely in indie folk, lo-fi, and alternative country territory, with blues and rock as deep influences running through her work. Her recordings are built around her voice paired with spare guitar or piano arrangements.
