Checo Acosta

Checo Acosta, born Alcibiades Antonio Acosta Agudelo on June 14, 1965 in Soledad, Atlántico, Colombia, is a Colombian folk and tropical music singer. He is the son of renowned singer Alci Acosta, and though he originally wanted to pursue ballads and boleros, he built his career in cumbia and Caribbean folk music. Over several decades he has released a large catalog of albums, earning a following across Colombia and Latin America.
