Christoph Spendel

Christoph Spendel (1955-2025) was a German pianist, keyboardist, composer, and producer born in Bytom, Poland, who grew up in Düsseldorf and built much of his musical identity through time spent in New York, Havana, and Frankfurt. His work moved across jazz, jazz-funk, Latin, pop, and film and television music, and he recorded frequently with prominent American and international musicians. He also worked as a music professor and journalist throughout his career.
