Chuck Mead

Chuck Mead is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Lawrence, Kansas, who spent years playing rockabilly, honky tonk, and country before co-founding the Nashville band BR5-49 in the 1990s. After BR5-49 wound down he continued as a solo act, releasing a string of albums that draw on classic American roots music. He has made over 200 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and brings a deep knowledge of pre-Nashville-pop country to everything he records.
