Deodato

Eumir Deodato is a Brazilian pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger who moved to New York in the late 1960s and built a career bridging jazz, funk, and pop. He first gained wide attention with his jazz-funk reworking of 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' on his 1973 CTI debut Prelude, which won a Grammy for Best Pop/Rock Instrumental Performance. Over the following decades he kept releasing solo records while also working as an arranger and producer for other artists.
