Hank Thompson

Hank Thompson was a country singer-songwriter from Waco, Texas, born in 1925, who recorded and toured for seven decades. His style mixed honky-tonk and Western swing, built around fiddles, electric guitar, steel guitar, and his smooth baritone voice. His backing band, the Brazos Valley Boys, was voted the top country western band by Billboard for 14 consecutive years.
