Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock is a pianist, keyboardist, and composer born in Chicago in 1940. He built his reputation as a jazz musician, spending time in Miles Davis's influential 1960s quintet before launching a prolific solo career that moved through jazz, funk, and electronic music. He has won multiple Grammy Awards and remains one of the most wide-ranging figures in American music.
