Johnny Rivers

Johnny Rivers, born John Henry Ramistella in New York in 1942 and raised in Baton Rouge, is an American rock, pop, and soul singer and guitarist who built his career largely in Los Angeles. He gained wide popularity in the 1960s through live rock and roll recordings at the Whisky a Go Go, then moved toward a more orchestral and soul-oriented sound as the decade went on. He has remained active across several decades, releasing records that draw on blues, rock, and R&B.
