Johnny Winter

Johnny Winter (1944-2014) was a guitarist and singer from Beaumont, Texas who built his reputation on high-energy blues and blues rock. He plays slide guitar with a ferocity that put him at the forefront of the late 1960s blues revival, and he later produced three Grammy-winning albums for Muddy Waters. In 1988 he was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame.
