Los Compadres

Los Compadres is a celebrated Cuban trova duo, originally formed in the early 1940s by guitarist and singer Lorenzo Hierrezuelo and Francisco Repilado, better known as Compay Segundo. They specialized in traditional Cuban styles including bolero, son, and guaracha, singing in close two-voice harmony with acoustic guitar accompaniment. After Compay Segundo departed, Hierrezuelo continued the duo with his brother Rey Caney, recording and touring widely across Latin America and the United States.
