Maria Dolores Pradera

Maria Dolores Pradera was a Spanish singer and actress born in Madrid in 1924, who spent part of her childhood in Chile. She built her reputation singing traditional Spanish and Latin American music, covering genres like bolero, copla, and folk styles from across the Spanish-speaking world. Her deep contralto voice made her one of the most celebrated vocalists in Spain and Latin America over a career spanning more than six decades, before her death in 2018.
