Mike Oldfield

Mike Oldfield is a retired English musician, songwriter, and producer born on 15 May 1953. He plays guitar as his primary instrument but has recorded across a wide range of instruments, and his work spans progressive rock, ambient, folk, classical, and electronic music. His 1973 debut Tubular Bells made him famous and launched Virgin Records, and he went on to release 25 studio albums over a long career.
