Nicki Parrott

Nicki Parrott is a jazz bassist and vocalist from Australia who grew up near Sydney and moved to New York City in 1994 to deepen her studies on double bass. She plays and sings at the same time, which is genuinely rare, and has built her career around jazz standards recorded for Arbors Records and the Japanese label Venus Records. Her recordings draw on the classic American songbook, delivered with upright bass as her anchor instrument.
