Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is a country and folk rock group founded in Long Beach, California in 1966 by Jeff Hanna and Jimmie Fadden, with an early lineup that briefly included Jackson Browne. They started out in the jug band and folk revival scene before moving into country rock and eventually mainstream country, building a career that has stretched across six decades. Their 1972 triple album Will the Circle Be Unbroken, recorded with bluegrass and country legends, remains their most celebrated work and helped bridge the gap between rock audiences and traditional American music.
