Simon & Garfunkel

Simon & Garfunkel are a vocal duo from Queens, New York, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, who met as children in elementary school and built a career around folk and pop songwriting. Their sound centers on close two-part harmonies layered over acoustic arrangements, with Simon writing most of the original material. They recorded through the mid-1960s and into the early 1970s, becoming one of the best-selling acts of that era before splitting up in 1970.
