Sonny Landreth

Sonny Landreth is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from southwest Louisiana, born in Canton, Mississippi in 1951 and long based in the Lafayette area. He plays in a style that pulls from blues, Cajun, zydeco, jazz, and rock, and he is widely regarded as one of the most inventive slide guitarists around. Eric Clapton has called him one of the most advanced and under-appreciated guitarists in the world.
