Terry Jacks

Terry Jacks is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who grew up in Vancouver. He started out in the mid-1960s as a guitarist and vocalist with the Vancouver band the Chessmen before finding solo success in the early 1970s with soft pop and easy listening material. His 1974 single 'Seasons in the Sun' reached number one in over ten countries and remains the work he is most associated with.
