The 4 Seasons

The 4 Seasons are a vocal group from Newark, New Jersey, built around lead singer Frankie Valli and his striking falsetto. They grew out of earlier local groups and developed a tight harmony style rooted in Italian American doo-wop and early 1960s pop, racking up more than 25 hits over five years starting with 'Sherry' in 1962. They remain one of the best-selling American acts of that era and were later the subject of the Broadway musical Jersey Boys.
