The Black Keys

The Black Keys are a two-piece rock band from Akron, Ohio, formed in 2001 by guitarist and vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Their sound draws heavily from blues and garage rock, with strong roots in artists like Howlin' Wolf and Junior Kimbrough. They started out recording in basements as an independent act and grew into one of the more prominent rock duos of the 2000s and 2010s.
