Waylon Jennings

Waylon Jennings was a country singer and songwriter from Littlefield, Texas, born in 1937. He was a central figure in the outlaw country movement of the 1970s, pushing back against the polished Nashville sound to make records on his own terms. His gravelly voice and stripped-back style made him one of the most distinctive artists in country music history.
