Artist
Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash was a singer and songwriter from Kingsland, Arkansas, who worked primarily in country music but pulled from rockabilly, gospel, folk, and rock throughout his career. He recorded for Sun Records in the 1950s before a long run on Columbia, and later found a second wave of recognition through his American Recordings series with producer Rick Rubin in the 1990s and 2000s. His deep baritone voice and plainspoken songwriting gave him a style that stayed recognizable across five decades of recording.
