Tom Petty

Tom Petty was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Gainesville, Florida, who fronted Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and was also part of the supergroup the Traveling Wilburys. His music drew from roots rock, new wave, and classic American rock and roll, producing a long run of hit singles and albums from the late 1970s through the 1990s. He remained one of the most consistent presences in American rock until his death in October 2017.
