Does it work for full songs, voice, and any file type?
Yes. Polyphonic audio (many notes sounding at once), full-band mixes, voice recordings, and every common audio format all work.
For a full mix, pick the instrument you want first. We separate it from the rest of the band, then find its notes, so the guitar's notes don't blur into the piano's. For your own playing or singing, record straight from the browser and the melody comes back as notes a few seconds later.
File type barely matters: mp3, WAV, M4A, and MP4 all convert. WAV is lossless, so if you have both, upload the WAV for the cleanest input.
